Deep Fried Kentucky Wieners!,  Woodcut,  42” X 80”    2009

Here it is…the much-anticipated second installment of the quintessential guide to being a Kentuckian!  Sit down and slap a straw hat to your noggin cause this one is a roller coaster!  I’m back with a whole new list of characters that has put my old Kentucky home on the map for better…or probably worse!  It’s got everything, the man that’s suing the Colonel himself for selling him a penis shaped chicken leg, Angel Maturino Resendez the famed “Railroad Killer” who rode the rails looking for his victims including two University of Kentucky art students in the ‘90’s, the death of Andrew C. Thornton II who was the head of “The Company” a major drug smuggling ring here in Lexington…more commonly know as the bluegrass conspiracy, the myth of Ralph Steadman refusing to sign the Litho prints for “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” unless he shot them with a shotgun in the backyard of the mental institution, and the burglar who woke up his victim to feed a nasty midnight PB&J craving!  All those with a few “fair Bears” thrown in and you have yourself a little window into my world!
